September Summer on LBI
We are waking up to another beautiful day on Long Beach Island and reminding myself how lucky I am to live in this paradise. Summer is coming to an end, colleges are back in session and school begins shortly for those who have not already begun. It’s a wonderful time to be on LBI.
September brings some of the best weather to this beach paradise, warm days and cooler nights. The ocean is still very warm (mid 70’s this past weekend) and it’s a perfect time for long beach walks, biking along the ocean roads and enjoying the sweet smell of the salty air.
Although the crowds have diminished there is still plenty to do on and around this island paradise. This final week of the official summer season finds the Schooner “America” , part of the America’s Cup tour in Barnegat Light. Labor Day weekend there is an Arts and Crafts show at Viking Village and The LBI Historical Association Craft Market at Veteran’s Park in Beach Haven. The summer concerts series at Bayview Park continues this week and the LBI Free Shuttle will continue running until mid October. There are many races here in the early fall and The Annual Triathlon/Duathlon at Bayview along with the Commemorative 18 Mile Run are wonderful events for participants and spectators alike.
September is simply a great time to be on LBI. The fun of the fading days of summer can’t be beat unless of course you own a home here. Now is a great time to start to look for your own piece of paradise. North, South, Ocean or Bay side, all have their unique feeling of the Jersey Shore. So call us now and we can help make your dream come true in time for the next great season on and around LBI.
